The Guys at the Grand Canyon

The guys represented well at the Grand Canyon, we hiked strong and made it look easy. The gave us encouragement even though he attacked Patrick. The Grand Canyon missed you Dad.

The girls had a lot of fun at the Grand Canyon. They were also willing to hike to the bottom. Well we didn't make it to the bottom, but we did hike a mile and a half down. Doesn't seem like much, but a the Grand Canyon, every step down is two steps back up. We had a blast.

Creepy Crawly Critters and Animals Galore

So we found BUNCHES of cool wildlife while in Arizona!!! First, Alicia, oh great hunter that she is, found a tarantella on the rugged outback trail deep in the Grand Canyon. Patrick tried to be brave and pick him up but when the mighty tarantella raised his hairy back Patrick ran for cover behind a boulder... we had to coax him out telling him that the tarantella walked away knowing that Patrick was not a threat! hahahahaha We also found a snake and Paige the daredevil that she is picked him up to save him from the stomping feet of the hikers! We all held him, including Mark, who was a wee bit timid of the teeny tiny 1 foot long snake. Alicia screamed like a little girls that she is when the grasshopper jumped and brushed her leg!! It scares me mama!!! We also saw a condore, that is an endangered species of bird for those of you not up to date on that list. Paige was a fanatic about how HUGE the crows were. We later found out that they were Ravens which explained the hugeness to Paige! Patrick, our mighty explorer attracted all of the squirels in a 15 mile radius. He liked them until one of them hauled off and totally attacked him... then he ran back behind his boulder! Mark found the greatest discovery of all and let me tell you it was incredibly hard to find!!! You don't often see these... Mark found... a huge... elk like elk with massive antlers!! (We didn't get a live picture because it was dark and we were in the car so we took a piture of the mounted one!) Two more discoveries that we make were lizzards in the desert and the best one of them all was.... is the suspense killing you... A SCORPIAN!!!!!! Patrick, amazingly found both of these awesome creatures on his own. He scouted, hunted, and lifted every rock imaginable to come across them and low and behold he did!!

The big boa we found at a friends house! He was big and very strong! (is that what she said? hahahahahaha)

Can you find the wild creature running down the street?

Life is good

Here we are in the lazy river just chillin and relaxin. Mark and Patrick attempted to see who was the fastest down the slide, we think Mark won, but who knows. Paige is up in the corner showing some leg. wo hoo.

Two studds balling it up

Two sun bathing beauties found these studdly manly men playing basketball and decided to play peeping tom and take their pictures and expose them on the web. Man that one guy is hairy and is that a shirt or a farmers tan?

Castles and Coasters

Saturday night we went to the local amusement park, Castles and Coasters and had a blast. Well Alicia not so much, you have to go on more than one ride babe. Mark, Patrick and Paige went on every ride and then some. Towards the end of the night we went on the main coaster six times without getting off. (is that what she said). Mark thinks the front is the best, but Patrick likes the rear, (is that what she said). Over all it was fun.

The Sky Dive, ha ha haaa

One Hundred and Seventy Five feet of sheer terror, ha ha haaaa. (well Alicia chickened out) Patrick was a little apprehensive, but he did it and screamed the whole way up and down. Mark and Paige put him in the middle to comfort him, and hold his hands. "It never stopped falling." It was the best ride of the night. (Mark and Patrick would have done it again, but not Paige).

Wild and crazy guys

Yea we are wild and crazy guys. We had soo much fun just being crazy. Oh yea, Mark broke Alicia's sunglasses on a ride and Patrick can always make a joke out of everything.

The Arizona state tree

It wouldn't be an Arizona trip without seeing the Arizona state tree. Yea, we were pretty amused at all the cactus and at least it wasn't the middle of July. Alicia and Paige did get poked by a cactus and it doesn't feel good.

The Wedding

The main reason we went to Arizona was to see my good ol' friend Jason Williams get married. I have known Jason for a very long time. We worked at Sonic Drive In in Missouri a long time ago. It was good to see Jennifer and Jeremy. It was also good to see Kevin and Leanne, and it wouldn't be a party without their dancing kids. They were the life of the party. Jason and Brooke, it was fun to see you guys, and congratulations on the marriage and best wishes. We hope to see you again soon.

Arizona Temple

After the wedding, we stopped by the beautiful Arizona Temple and walked the grounds. It was very nice to just hold hands and walk and holy ground.

The Trip home.

Well after a long enjoyable, fun, exciting, awesome, totally rad and very tiring vacation, we had to come home. But it is always nice to come home to family and especially Kathrine and Addison. We sure did miss them and they missed us. A perfect home coming, and it wasn't raining. We had a lot of fun and hopefully there are more vacations in store.

Kathrine's First Haircut

It was time for our little Kathrine's first haircut which was bitter sweet. She had beautiful long hair but it was getting too hard to comb it. She just loves her new hair style and she is still our little princess.
