Today was an awesome fall day, a high of 92. Kathrine said she wanted to go outside, so we can't say no to that. They love to play on the deck with all their toys.

New Pajamas

Just look at me in my new big girl pajamas.Yea, I love my pajamas and I am soo excited to go to bed, bring on the sleeping.

We all gathered in the backyard for a round of donggles and of course Daddy won. We all scarfed down the yummy blackberry cobbler.

2008 Hood River Fruit Loop

This weekend we started a new family tradition. We went camping in Hood River for the long labor day weekend and did all the sites of the fruit loop. The fruit loop is just what is sounds like, you drive in a big loop and visit all the fruit orchards and every orchard has different attractions. The best place we discovered was the Alpaca farm. Alpacas are similiar to a lama but as you see from the pictures they are a whole lot cuter. Also at the alpaca farm was this huge door and as you can see, one of the most laid back dogs. He let the girls cuddle and ride him. Of course the girls also found the local cat. This we be one vacation that we will do every year.

This was the best orchard out of all of them. They had yummy fresh fruit shakes. Daddy scarfed down a fresh blackberry peach and Patrick enjoyed a blueberry peach. Daddy and Patrick each had three huges shakes that day and probably would have had more, but mommy cut them off.

Yes when we camp, we camp good. We made dutch oven cobler and lasagna, both were delicious. We were nice enough to share with the neighbor campers. Which by the way, there were few campers. This weekend wasn't the warmest weekend. Sunday morning, daddy work up and found the water on the table was frozen. Daddy thought that it was cold that night but not that cold. We wrapped the tarp completely around the tent to help keep us warm. To keep it safe we decided to go into town to find a tent heater but we were unsucessful. We did find this cool toy store as you see in the photos. Mommy found a cool toy and cruised it around the store. We are crazy.

This was the Apple Valley orchard which has fun goats to feed. They also had all of their jams set out for sampling. Daddies favorite was Blackberry peach, so he bought a jar. They had a wide variety of yummy jams and of course, fresh fruit shakes.

Mommy and Kathrine found some funny hats. They are so cute.

Addison fit right in with the whole camping thing. She wasn't too mobile but she did enjoy eating the dirt. She is a trooper.

The weekend was a success and can't wait to do it again next year. Hopefully next year it will be a little warmer.

Eagle creek was fun, but too many people and Addison didn't sleep well. Mommy had the first shift of sleeping with her in the car and then Daddy took over and then early in the morning Daddy set of the alarm and woke up the whole camp site. Oh well, you don't sleep in when you camp.

As you can see, we love to camp and we know how to camp. Anyone is invited to come along with us and we camp all the time.

We have fun camping because we just relax, see and do fun things and we eat like kings and queens. Our number one rule is no easy meals like hot dogs and we must use the dutch oven.

Alicia's Birthday

This time Daddy made the cake and man it was soooo goooood. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. Kathrine loves to shuck corn with Papa.

Addison, you are growing up so fast, just look at you standing up, sitting tall on the fireplace and sliding off the couch. Oh yea, and giving Daddy a great big hug

Family Camping trip to Bend

One weekend we decided to leave town and go camping. So we packed up all the gear and headed to Bend. Daddy wanted to check out a bike at the local Bend bike shop. We got down to Detroit lake around 9 pm and it started to rain the minute we started setting up the tent. Even with the rain we made this a fun weekend.Addison woke up first and we had fun playing around with her. As you can see in the picture she had fun when we let the air out of the air mattress.

The girls love to help Daddy put up and take down the tent. Sometimes they are more help then needed.

The weekend was a success and Daddy did find the bike that he was looking for. We love living in beautiful Oregon.

Our last trip to Utah and Wyoming

We really enjoyed out visit with Grandpa Young. Kathrine and Addison had fun eating strawberries with Grandap.
The little ones really liked just sitting in the rocks and of course eating them too. Up top we couldn't keep Kathrine away from the snow patch. It was sad but funny.

This was the best part of the reuinion. Kathrine was very brave and did the rope swing. She wanted to do it again, but we gave others a turn. She also loved the boats.

Kathrine had to stop and chase the geese, she is crazy about animals. For the third time through the Elk reserve, we still didn't see any live ones, so we stopped here and saw some stuffed one.s

The lone trip home

Fun trip to Seattle

Mommy surprised daddy for his birthday and took him up to Seattle to see his favorite comedian, Brian Regan. We spent to whole day seeing the sites of Seattle and the best site we found was the sun. It was the best day we have seen in Seattle. We had fun just walking around taking fun pictures. Brian Regan was awesome.

The Backyard Swing

Our girls have sure loved the backyard swing. Kathrine has loved to go high from the beginning. "Higher Daddy, higher", she screams as daddy pushes higher and higher. It is tiring sometimes but the smile on her face makes it worth it.
